Christina Aguilera first wore POSTER GIRL during her LA Pride performance in 2022. Part of her iconic stage outfit included a voluminous blue fluffy jacket that was intricately handmade from Marabou feathers by the POSTER GIRL team in the London studio.
Working closely with celebrity fashion stylist, Greer Heavrin, the design process included hand-dying the Marabou feather, stitching intricately to the jacket, and fluffing the feathers to ensure it had the perfect “bounce”, before finally making its way overseas to Christina where she performed alongside Paris Hilton.
Marabou feather has long been a favourite of the POSTER GIRL design team, with the material first being used in our AW21 Collection, inspired by Prehistoric References. You can now find Marabou feather featured throughout several key designs. Our favourite pieces include the Gwuinevere Gloves on our Janice Jumpsuit, Tulia Trousers, and matching Mira Top.
